What Is Insurance & Why Do You Need It?

Business insurance is a form of risk management in which an insurance policy protects a business by transferring the cost of claim to an insurance company in exchange for monetary compensation known as a "premium".

In the event of a claim, an insurance policy allows individuals and businesses a way of protecting themselves against significant losses and financial hardship at a reasonably affordable rate. The phrase "significant losses" is a key because you would not pay a monthly premium to protect a business against a $50 loss as this would not be considered a financial hardship for most.

There are three types of insurance needed by artisans.  They are:

1.      Limited Medical Care Access

2.      Business and Product Liability Insurance

The assocation is currently working hard to bring Long Term Disability Insurance to the membership.  Details will be coming soon!
